New name for Dnepr-GL Ltd, producer of
special tubes in Ukraine
Operating under a new brand: Dneprovsky Special Tubes Plant Ltd (DSTP)
Dnepr-GL Ltd has completed a re-
organisation process and is now
operating under a new brand: Dne-
provsky Special Tubes Plant Ltd
(DSTP). The company has been op-
erating for ten years in the market
producing and delivering precision
tubes and elbows of stainless steel,
Ni- and Ti-based alloys, disper-
sion-hardening alloys and refracto-
ry metals.
The Production facilities of the
company consist of: a tube-rolling
shop; cold and warm working sec-
tion; refractory metal tube produc-
tion section; chemical treatment
section; heat-treatment section
and a tube and elbow finishing
section.
DSTP’s tube-rolling shop has a
range of equipment including:
cold (warm) rolling mills of KhPTS
40, KhPTR 8-15, KhPTR 15-30,
KhPTR 6-12, KhPTR 8-20 models;
drawing benches;
rotary swaggers (3.0 to 76.0 mm
diameter range);
centerless grinding machines of
VSh-400 and VSh-500 models;
electrocontact resistance heating
furnaces (max 1500°C);
vacuum heating furnaces (max
1500°C);
through-type heating furnaces
(900-1150°C);
pit furnaces for heating in ar-
gon atmosphere (1070°C and
1200°C), etc.
In the machine workshop there
are: a machining area; screw-cut-
ting lathes; milling machines;
planer; coordinate milling ma-
chines; grinding machines, drill-
ing machines; deep boring area
and drilling-and-boring machines.
DSTP says that its quality & control
department features OD visual in-
spection, ID periscope inspection;
ultrasonic flaw detection; stee-
loscopy; measuring linear dimen-
sions. In the plant laboratory it
has mechanical testing; in-process
testing; micrographic testing; cor-
rosion testing; linear and angular
measuring and spectral analysis fa-
cilities.
DSTP has a Quality Management
System certified according to State
Standard of Ukraine ISO 9001:2009
(certificate No. UA 2.006.04814-
10). Special acceptance and inde-
pendent technical inspection rules
including TP No. 23 (Aviatekh-
priyomka, Russia) are used as well.
In addition it is a certified (Certif-
icate No. 06544-5-1-30VL) labora-
tory for mechanical, metallograph-
ic and corrosion tests.
The company produces the follow-
ing main tube products:
Tubes of refractory metals (mo-
lybdenum, tungsten, tantalum,
chromium, niobium, etc.) as per
TU 48-19-251-85 and other spec-
ifications, 0.7-20.0 x 0.1-2.0 mm
Seamless cold-rolled tubes of al-
loy grade CrNi60WTi (EI-868) as
per TU 14-3-571-2004, 1.5-30.0
x 0.5-1.0 mm
