Personal Data – ITA Board
If Klaus Dickmann is asked about
the advantages working for Mag-
netic Analysis Corporation, based
in Elmsford, NY, he will probably
talk about the innovative technol-
ogy, the high quality standards, the
strategic focus on the core busi-
ness, the international approach
and the excellent team he is work-
ing with. But he would also admit
that – by the way – Magnetic Anal-
ysis offers him the key to places he
had never seen before and a view
beyond his own nose.
Born in Duisburg, 1969, Klaus
Dickmann was also educated at
the University of Duisburg where
he studies applied physics from
1989 to 1995. He then followed
an offer from the University of Er-
langen-Nuremberg in the South of
Germany to work as a researcher in
the field of laser based metrology
and quality control. Being person-
ally related to the Ruhr district
where he grew up, his next career
step led him to Salzgitter Mannes-
mann Forschung GmbH where he
started a career as system engineer
combing his university knowledge
with practical aspects while working
on research and development pro-
jects for Non-Destructive testing of
steel tubes for the Salzgitter Group
in Germany and France. Klaus Dick-
mann is experienced in eddy current
testing, flux leakage testing, ultra-
sonic testing and thermography.
In 2008 the last step in his pro-
fessional career led him to Magnet-
ic Analysis Corporation where he
holds the position Technical Man-
ager Europe, based in Oberhausen,
Ruhr-District. Magnetic Analysis
Corporation has 85 years of experi-
ence as a leader in non-destructive
testing. The company developed
the first American made system us-
ing electromagnetic principles for
the detection of flaws in steel prod-
ucts. Since then, MAC has grown to
become a major source of NDT sys-
tems in the fields of eddy current,
electromagnetic flux leakage and
ultrasonic inspection systems for
testing metals. The company oper-
ates worldwide.
Klaus Dickmann highly values the
open culture and quick decision
making within Magnetic Analysis,
the broad personal and professional
perspective and the concentration
on the international market needs.
The ITA is very pleased to welcome
such a competent professional to
its European Management Board.
