Fives Bronx, the global supplier
of Bronx Taylor-Wilson finishing
equipment and Abbey ERW pipe
mills, has signed a contract for the
delivery of finishing floor equip-
ment with a Russian steel pipe pro-
ducer. Supplying pipe for the oil,
gas and construction industries,
the producer is building a new,
completely automated process line
for the production and finishing of
ERW longitudinal seam casing, oil
and gas pipe, and profile pipe in
the Kostroma region of Russia, with
a production capacity of 350,000
tons per year. The pipe will be uti-
lized by a company operating the
world’s largest natural gas trans-
mission network, which exports
gas to more than 30 countries and
is one of Russia’s most modern and
fastest growing facilities.
Fives Bronx will manufacture a
finishing floor line consisting of
single and dual head hydrotesting
machines, the Bronx series 10CR10
and 10CR11 pipe straighteners, end
facer and leak testing equipment.
The Bronx finishing floor equip-
ment will process pipe conform-
ing to the API requirements and
for GOST R52079-2003, Grades
K34-K60, API 5 - Grades A25-X80,
ISO 3183-Grades L1750-L555,
GOST 10705-80, and GOST 20295-
85. Finished casing conforms to
the requirements of API Spec 5CT
(Edition 2009), PSL 1, Grades J55
– P110 and GOST 632-80. Specifi-
cations include diameter ranging
from 75 mm to 426 mm, maximum
wall thickness of 14 mm and length
up to 12 meters. Temperature rang-
es from ambient to 900ºC and will
process the pipes up to 70 mpm.
The maximum yield strength is 965
N/mm².

American Petroleum Institute (API)
implemented to deal with the ever
changing demands in drilling for
oil in deeper and harder to find ar-
eas throughout the world. Our hy-
drotesters offer flexibility for any
length variation, including tube
and pipe testing with O.D. from
less than 25 mm to over 660 mm.
Designs can accommodate plain
end or square cuts, API line pipe
ends, threaded and coupled ends,
mill sawed or pierced ends.
Extremely robust and built for the
harshest mill environments, the ten
roll pipe straightening machines
have become the industry stand-
ard for the demanding OCTG mar-
ket. These machines have a verti-
cal adjustment on all top rolls and
numbers 2, 3 and 4 bottom rolls,
allowing the machine to apply a
more gentle deflection to the tube
by redirecting or bending the ma-
