Founded in 1990, Adda Fer Meccan-
ica starts its activity as trader of
used plant for steel industry.
During the years, the company
develops his experience and know
how repairing, overhauling and
manufacturing new machines to
complete used lines in order to
offer good quality product at very
competitive price.
With a strong know-how and a clear
orientation to the international
market, Adda Fer Meccanica has in-
stalled many plants all around the
world increasing popularity of its
brand, now synonymous of quality
and reliability.
On this basis, the company has
started from many years to man-
ufacture new plants dedicated
especially to tube manufacturing
and coil processing. Some of these
products are roll forming lines, au-
tomatic packing machine and fin-
ishing lines for tubes, slitting lines
and cut to length lines.
The headquarter of Adda Fer Mec-
canica is in a new industrial area of
more than 12.000 sq.m. in Mapel-
lo - Bergamo, in two new buildings
of 4.000 sq.m. where are located
warehouse, assembling area and
manufacturing facilities. For a
prestigious tube manufacturer, who
is located in Saudi Arabia, Adda Fer
Meccanica has recently installed
an important plant for the cutting,
finishing and handling of pipes.
- The Flying cut-off double blade
shear has been optimised in order
to make a near-perfect in-line cut
that is absolutely clean and free
of distortion or burr.
All functions of the unit are man-
aged by a microprocessor, which
makes it possible to control the
machine with a very high level of
reliability, ensuring very precise
cutting lengths without influenc-
ing the effective production speed
on the basis of which the cut-off
performance parameters are opti-
mised.
The guaranteed bar length toler-
ance is ± 1.5 mm at the maximum
operating speed, although signifi-
cantly higher precision is also pos-
sible.
These cut-offs are fully automatic:
once programmed they can oper-
ate without requiring the con-
stant presence of the operator at
the control desk; these units are
pre-tested at the factory prior to
shipment.
- The end facing and chamfering
machine, composed by a trans-
fer system between the differ-
ent stations, two end facing and
chamfering heads, a tube align-
ing system, has a productivity
to guarantee the processing of a
continuous production at a max-
imum speed of 60 m/min of pipe
line with shortest pipes.
- The Hydro Test machine can test
No. 2 tubes simultaneously at 250
bar till a diameter of 168.3 mm.
For larger diameters, it is possible
to test only one tube at time at
250 bar or No. 2 tubes simultane-
ously at lower pressure.
The maximum test pressure must be
set in function of the characteris-
tics of the tube to be tested and
in accordance with the regulations
to use.
