transporting natural gas. Similarly,
business opportunities in the wire
and cable industries are estimated to
contribute approximately 3% of the
world’s production of wire and cable.
Against this dynamic backdrop, Mr
Gernot Ringling, Managing Direc-
tor of Messe Düsseldorf Asia com-

According to Mr Ringling, this
year’s trade fairs will see a compre-
hensive display of products and ser-
vices aimed particularly at enhanc-
ing productivity and operations,
as well as cost-effective solutions.

hibitors will focus on innovation,
from the latest processes, systems,
services and products to meet sup-
plier demands for productivity and
efficiency gains. Trade visitors can
also expect to see more machinery
and equipment at this year’s trade
fairs.”
Integrating Market Opportuni-
ties with Industry Growth
A series of technical seminars have
been designed to bring wire South-
east Asia closer to the wire and
cable industry providing unique in-
sights into the trends shaping this
sector. The first round of technical
seminars will kick-start in Seoul,
Korea on 22 July followed by Jakar-
ta on 24 July, ending off in Bang-
kok on 26 July.
The programme for this year’s tech-
nical seminars for wire and cable
industries will see presentations fo-
cusing on the technological devel-
opments in the industry by Niehoff
Group, Sikora AG, Reber Systematic
GmbH + Co KG, EDER Engineering,
and Rosendahl Maschinen GmbH.
The speakers will present the latest
advancements in the fields of wire
drawing, automotive wires, process
filtration, and measuring technolo-
gy. Business strategies focused on
innovation, production efficiency
and productivity will be explored
during the sessions.
These visits are designed to provide
a targeted learning platform to ap-
proximately 500 manufacturers of
wire, cable in these countries. Or-
ganized as a prelude to the trade
fair, these technical seminars also
form an initiative to provide in-
sights into how organisations can
prepare for the intensive competi-
tion with the development of the
ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)
in 2015.
The trade fair is supported by nu-
merous prominent industry associ-
ations that include IWCEA (Inter-
national Wire and Cable Exhibitors’
Association), International Wire
and Machinery Association, ACI-
MAF (Italian Wire Machinery Man-
ufacturer’s Association), Iron and
Steel Institute of Thailand, and
many others. Thailand’s largest
trade fair for the wire and cable
industry is all about machinery
and equipment, materials trends
and accessories used for making
all types of wire and cable, and in-
novative solutions for the wire and
cable sector. Trade visitors can ex-
pect to see a wide range of wire,
cable, tube and pipe products for
the building, electronic, power,
and telecommunications sector as
well as data wire and cable, and
other insulated wires and cables.
In addition, visitors will also be
able to attend a series of seminars
and training courses at wire and
Tube Southeast ASIA 2013 as well
as other offerings which have been
organized to provide added value
to the exhibition and maintain its
leading position in the industry.
