Oscar Production Group Ltd, Ukraine
The Oscar Production Group is one
of the leading manufacturers of
high-tech seamless tubular prod-
ucts from titanium alloys, nickel
alloys and stainless steel. It was
established out of Tube Drawing
Workshop
№
4 (TDW-4) which has
been successfully working since
1975 at Nikopol Yuzhnotrubny
Plant (NYTP), Ukraine.
It specialises in the manufacture of
products intended mainly for nucle-
ar-power engineering, aircraft and
rocket building, special-purpose
machine building, shipbuilding,
defense industry and other indus-
tries of the national economy us-
ing hot-pressing and cold-working
technology (cold rolling and cold
drawing). Its product line includes
tubes of stainless steel grades and
titanium, nickel based alloys: 0,3-
133 mm diameter, 0,08-15 mm wall
thickness seamless tubes; 16,0-76
mm diameter multilayer (from 2 to
12 layers) tubes with thickness of
individual layers of 0,16-0,25 mm;
extremely thin-walled and ribbed
tubes of titanium alloys in a stand-
ard size range.
Oscar operates a unique 1.4 million
sq feet facility equipped with 60
units of basic rolling equipment:
10 cold pilger mills, 41 tube rolling
mills of roller type and 9 drawing
mills, and the plant has powerful
facilities for thermal treatment
of tubes in a non-oxidizing at-
mosphere of ultra-pure hydrogen
(bright annealing) and in vacuum.
This advantage provides wider pos-
sibilities for the manufacture of
super high-duty tubes of special
stainless steel grades and alloys
and titanium based alloys for aero-
space engineering, etc.
The company has qualified per-
sonnel and all necessary technical
facilities for control and testing
procedures, set out in domestic
and foreign standards applied to
manufactured products. It has a
certified central testing laboratory,
a metrology laboratory and a de-
partment of nondestructive testing
of pipes.
The quality of products is controlled
at all stages: starting with the
launch of production until shipping
to the customer. All special tech-
nological processes are controlled
and results are documented in ac-
cordance with direct instrumented
measurement.
Production of the Oscar Group is
certified according national stand-
ards and specifications (GOST, TU)
and foreign standards (EN, DIN,
ASTM, ASME). The enterprise’s
quality control system is certi-
fied by the international certifi-
cation centers TUV Thuringen ISO
9001:2008, TUV Nord PED 97/23/
EC and AD 2000-Merkblatt W0,
national certification centre VNI-
TI-TEST UkrSEPRO system DSTU ISO
9001:2008.
