The first-ever wire South America
International Wire and Cable Fair
– will be staged at the Exposições
Imigrantes exhibition centre in São
Paulo from 1 to 3 October 2013. The
inaugural edition of the trade fair
for wire and cable production and
finishing will take place in parallel
with TUBOTECH – 7th International
Trade Fair for Pipes, Valves, Fittings
and Components.
Exhibitors at wire South America
and TUBOTECH will present their
new products on a total floor space
of 13,000 square meters. Some 150
exhibitors will showcase their in-
novations from the wire and cable
manufacturing and finishing, pro-
cess engineering tools and auxilia-
ry components, and measurement,
control and test engineering sec-
tors. The seventh TUBOTECH, an
event that had a great attendance
record of over 18,000 trade visitors
back in 2011, will offer a forum for
some 300 exhibitors presenting a
broad overview of the tube manu-
facturing and processing sector, as
well as tube trading.
The first-ever wire South America
will feature group ventures from
the United States, Italy, Austria
(“Expo Austria”) and China. Sup-
port for wire South America is pro-
vided by IWMA – the International
Wire & Machinery Association, WCI-
SA – the Wire and Cable Industry
Suppliers Association and ACIMAF
– the Italian Wire Machinery Man-
ufacturers Association. Support for
TUBOTECH is provided by ITA – the
International Tube Association.
The conditions in the run-up to the
wire South America and TUBOTECH
events in São Paulo are promis-
ing: According to a report by GTAI
(Germany Trade and Invest), the
strength of Brazil’s construction,
automotive and consumer elec-
tronics sectors is causing a sharp
rise in the demand for wire, cable,
and tube and pipe products. Infra-
structure expansion, the boom in
the construction industry, increas-
ing investment in capital goods
and favourable market conditions
in the consumer goods industry are
all generating strong momentum.
Both trade fairs will benefit from
the experiences Messe Düsseldorf
has gained from organizing the two
globally leading trade fairs wire –
International Trade Fair for Wire
and Cable – and Tube – Interna-
tional Trade Fair for Tube and Pipe
– that took place simultaneously
from 26 to 30 March 2012 for the
13th time already at the Düsseldorf
Exhibition Centre. These trade fairs
attracted more than 2,500 exhib-
itors and approximately 73,000
visitors from all continents to the
metropolis on the River Rhine.
Both wire South America and
TUBOTECH bring excellent sources
of information to visitors from Bra-
zil and surrounding nations right to
their own continent, and they are
an ideal platform for internation-
al exhibitors interested in gaining
visibility in the important and in-
teresting market of the future that
is South America.
