John Metcalfe, long time ITA Honorary
Treasurer and first recipient of the Lifetime
Achievement Award
The ITA is run by the members for the members.
Thanks to the invaluable support of many individual
members since 1979, who have given their time
voluntarily, the ITA has been able to achieve its pre-
eminent position in the global industry today.
The ITA is very grateful also to the many tube and pipe
organisations who have allowed their employees to
be involved in ITA activities as well as supporting the
Association in many other ways.
From 1979 until 2004 John Hogg inspired and drove
the ITA through its first twenty five years drawing on
the enthusiasm, commitment and expertise provided
by the many members who served on the boards and
committees.
Afterhisdeathin2004theIEMBdecidedtocommemorate
