Past, Present & Future – 30 years of the International Tube Association

Another key role undertaken by the ITA is to assist its
members in the promotion of their organisations. In
June 1997 the first edition of the Association’s newsletter
ITAN appeared.
This newsletter contains editorials from members that
are published free of charge. ITAN does not include any
advertisements, except for ITA events, and is circulated
in hard copy form to some 10,000 readers throughout
the world by both mail and extensive distribution at
exhibitions attended by the ITA.
More than twenty eight editions of the newsletter have
been published since 1997. ITAN has developed over
recent years with a full colour format introduced in 2005
and an electronic version, or e-zine, in 2008.
On occasions language supplements in Russian and
Chinese are produced as well as larger editions prior to
major industry events.
All editorials appear on the ITAwebsite
.
The advent of the e-zine has meant that the potential
readership of ITAN has increased dramatically, especially
in regions with unreliable postal services.
Thewebsiteplaysavery important role incommunicating
globally the ITA’s own activities as well asmembers’news.
Regularly updated, the site posts members’ editorials
throughout the year. Also on the website are contact
details and information of all organisations that have
one or more ITA members, often with hyperlinks to their
own websites.
