TMK´s OAO Seversky Tube Works
from Polevskoy, Sverdlovsk, Russia,
has placed an order with SMS Meer,
Germany, for two new threading
machines, including transport fa-
cilities. With these new machines,
Seversky Tube Works is expanding
its production capacities for premi-
um joints.
The threading machines of the type
CG 38/4 are able to thread pipes in
the diameter range from 169 to 340
mm with wall thicknesses from 7.3
to 16.5 mm and lengths up to 13.5
m. Depending on the thread type
and diameter, the machines finish
between 46 and 87 pipes per hour.
The machines operate according
to the “stationary tool - rotating
pipe” principle. With this method
the machines can cut standardized
inside and outside threads as well
as all premium threads. The pipe
threads comply with the produc-
tion standards API 5CT and GOST
632-80, as well as all other inter-
national pipe standards.
The threading machines will go in-
to operation in spring 2014.
