His first steps in his professional ca-
reer took him in 1985 to the RWTH
(Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische
Hochschule), Aachen, Germany, the
highly renowned university, just re-
cently nominated* as the foremost
address for engineering and natural
sciences, where he started his stud-
ies in mechanical engineering and
production technologies. Whilst
studying he was an Assistant for
Quality Assurance at the Fraunhofer
Institut for Production-Technology,
another national as well as inter-
national high-ranking institution
in Aachen. During the duration of
his study he gained a six month
scholarship from November 1989 to
April 1990 at the NTH (Norwegian
University of Science and Technol-
ogy) in Trondheim, Norway.
After José Berenguer-Fröhner fin-
ished his studies in the middle and
very north of Europe, he moved
from the west to the south of Ger-
many to beautiful Lake Konstanz,
where he started to work for AEG
Electrocom as a Project manager &
Key Account Manager for sales from
Scandinavia to Brazil.
Farther south, in one of the most
beautiful countries in Europe, was
his next career progression, which
brought him as a Project Manager
& Key Account Manager at Comau
Carrozzeria (a Fiat Group compa-
ny) in Turin, in the north of Ita-
ly. After two years, in 1997, José
Berenguer returned to Spain where
he joined Euromaquina S.A., now
Euromáquina S.L.*, a company for
industrial and machinery services
for metal and serial products., (ba-
sically for tubes, sheet, bar, profile
manufacturing facilities) He has
over 15 years of experience as an
agent of major European machine
makers for the tube industry and,
additionally, has international ex-
perience in approximately 50 coun-
tries including in particular Europe
and the Middle East, the Gulf Area
and Latin America.
José B. Berenguer-Fröhner speaks
German, English, Italian and Span-
ish fluently. Above all, he holds
a Master in Journalism, which he
obtained at the CEU San Pablo, Ma-
drid, a private catholic university,
which ranks second in Spain’s best
schools for law. A freelance jour-
nalist for political and economic
papers, he also works as an associ-
ate lecturer in Project Management
at the MBA School Instituto de Em-
presa in Spain.
The combination of his excellent
education at the most renowned
universities all over Europe and his
eclectic international experiences
in sales and product management
along with his various other inter-
est such as politics and economic
affairs amongst others, is the ideal
pre-condition for José B. Berengu-
er-Fröhner to serve the ITA’s Euro-
pean Management Board as a new
and highly qualified member. We
wish him a cordial welcome!
