Ladies and Gentlemen
“Every ending marks a new beginning”: I closed the editorial of the first
issue in the ITAtube Journal with this quote from the Greek poet, Homer.
Just a few months ago we launched both our renewed ITA website and the
new ITAtube Journal. Without being sure we were doing the right thing,
we were completely overwhelmed by the reactions. Both ITA website and
ITAtube Journal were well-received and valued by the international board
members and – far more importantly – by the ITA members. As a direct
result we have seen an increased inflow of press releases and pictures to
our website and for our ITAtube Journal.
That is a great honour for the whole team and for me the right moment
to say: Thank you!
However, we are not going to rest on our laurels: We promised to uphold,
continue and improve the efforts that have already been made. Our high-
est priority is to always deliver a high-class quality of services. In this
issue we have provided you with the market data on world steel tube
production for the second quarter 2013. This is a service that we will be
delivering from now on every quarter.
We thank our partner, the Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahlrohre e.V. (German
Steel Tube Association) for their support. Just one month ahead we are
looking to Southeast Asia and to South America where the next important
tube shows will take place. Both continents are having a major impact on
the tube industry and a huge influence for the present and future world
economy. We wish our industrial members every success. We, the ITA and
our team, will be there to support you at the fair with meeting booths
and comprehensive services.
