With effect from April 1, 2013 Nor-
bert Theelen has been appointed
Deputy Member of the Managing
Board of SMS Meer. At the same
time, he takes over as Technical
Leader of the Pipe and Tube Plant
Business Unit.
The 55-year-old has held a num-
ber of positions with the company
since 1973 and most recently was
in charge of the Seamless Tube
Plants Product Unit.
”Thanks to his comprehensive mar-
ket and product know-how and his
long years of experience in me-
chanical and plant engineering,
Norbert Theelen will further pro-
mote the positive development of
our company,” says Heinrich Weiss,
Chairman of the Supervisory Board
of SMS Meer and Chairman of the
Managing Board of SMS GmbH.
The other members of the Managing
Board of SMS Meer are Dr. Joachim
Schönbeck (CEO), Torsten Heising
(CFO) and Jens Barth (Managing
Director Sales).
